Frequently Asked Questions

Easy Dump

We suggest allocating four hours for the initial installation process. This involves securing four brackets into the bed of your truck, after which a forklift will be used to position the unit in the bed. Subsequently, you will need to insert pins through the brackets to firmly secure the body in place. Two quick-connect cables will then be connected from your truck’s standard battery to the rear of the unit.

Par-Kan also offers an optional kit that enables installation of the Easy Dump unit directly onto the chassis, if necessary. Please note that additional time will be required for the direct chassis mount and 50/50 split configurations. Certain modifications to the truck may be necessary for direct mount and 50/50 split units, depending on the year, make and model of the truck chassis.

Please be sure to contact our refuse sales representative with truck information prior to purchase or installation.

There is no issue with this process. Simply disconnect the cables and take out the pins from the brackets. Afterward, utilize a forklift to slide the unit out, as there are fork pockets designed under the unit specifically for installation and removal.

Our 6-Yard Easy Dump offers an optional Sweep Blade that will move trash from the back to the front of the Easy Dump. The Sweep Blade option maximizes the load capacity and doubles as a cover and is only available for our 6 yard model.

Our 3, 4, 7.5 Split, and 8-Yard Easy Dump systems require manual movement using an extended arm tool such as a fiber glass handled rake or broom to push the trash to the front of the Easy Dump.
